I felt that each card should have a stamp on the back, like Hallmark has a crown. I found this one and thought it was perfect, cause it looks like my T! I am planning on adding a T just above it since its a stamp of my Tango. He is my baby and I thought nothing better then a stamp that is a symbol of love to me. I hope you all have a blessed day!
A Blog about my husband and I's journey to parenthood, which involves alot of faithful prayer!

What have I been up too.....
Well since I finally have the space to craft in, I have been going well crazy. I have been making cards left and right. Matt and I decided last year that we wanted to make some homemade Christmas cards to send out. Of course it should have dawned on me that I would be doing all the work. But believe you me he has been giving his input every chance he gets on if he likes one or not. I don't want them to be all the same, yes there will be duplicates of some, but I wanted to make lots of different ones. Plus since they are homemade none are actually exactly the same. Last year for Christmas Matt gave me this awesome set of Glitter from Martha Stewart. Of course I actually picked it out and said I would like that. And he came through with flying colors. So I have been glittering up a storm. So not only do I have a ribbon addiction I also love all things glittery. Needless to say when I get done working on a card, I usually have glitter all over. Since I am so excited and proud of all the hard work I thought I would show ya some. Of course not all of them are Christmas and some aren't all the way done yet.
I like this one because I was able to use ribbon, stamps, markers, and glitter. I think its just a simple and sweet design.
I have a few different ones of this design in different colors as well as without the 2 lines on the sides. I really likes this when I first did it because I think its so neat how the words Joy on this one or Peace on other ones with the bow look like a wreath.
Matt gave his opinion on these and said he likes the gold one best, but I think they both turned out very pretty. Men they can have such opinions :)
This is another one of the wreath ones, I really like the ribbon on the bow for this one. I think its really pretty ribbon.
Now onto my non-Christmas cards.
I made this one tonite, I think when I get off here I will write a love note to my Matt for him to find in the morning. It seems like the perfect card to show how much I love him.
This one and the next few aren't done yet. I am planning on using them as Birthday Cards. I want to get some smaller letter stamps then I currently own to put Happy Birthday on them. I think they are just so adorable with the bows. Those are my favorite part!

So this is what I have been up too....
Wow it has been awhile. We have been so busy getting our office done that I haven't had much time to just sit and type. And really not very much to say. Matt and I have been doing really good. We have both just felt so much peace since deciding to adopt. It's such a wonderful feeling to figure out what path God is leading us too.
I am so excited to have my office done. I don't think I have ever had a space this organized in my life. We even bought shelves and organized the closet for storage. And with that said the home depot guy said I am a Genius! Just wanted to let ya all know someone else sees how smart I am as well. LOL :)
I am going to post pictures of the finished room on here for you all to see. It was a lot of work and exhausting but we are so very excited to be done!
This is Matt's part of the office. Its the computer desk, the very large map on the wall was a birthday present form me. He told me about wanting to visit every state in the US when we talked about the things we want to accomplish, so I bought him the map we got it framed and we are going to put pins in it after we visit each place. The only rule to count off a state is we have to stay overnite in it. The Royals picture is Matt's and Matt's alone. He likes it and we hope to find or at least he hopes to find a Chiefs one to go with it.
Here is my desk, the antique window magnet/chalk board I painted and hung up. As well as my ridiculously large collection of ribbon. I love ribbon, I love finding unique old ribbon you can't get anymore at Estate Sales. I am so excited that I now how a place to showcase it. Also on the floor next to my desk is Tango's pillow. He likes to be comfortable and be able to be wherever his mommy may be.
This is my craft supply shelf. It has my scrapbook paper, stamps, cross-stitch, and my story that I have been writing for years on it. Oh and the gray case on bottom holds my new Dremel. I am super excited to do some new projects with it. I see wood working in my future. I have never been this organized in my life I am excited to see how long it lasts looking this awesome!
This is my bookshelf. We bought it 2 years ago and I put it together all by myself. Most of you will not be surprised by that. I am pretty handy and put most things together myself. It has a bunch of my books on it, I still have ton in boxes. But these are my favorites. Of course I also have a bunch on my Sony Reader but sometimes its so nice to have a real book to hold. Also on my bookshelf is a picture of Matt and his family when he was little boy, my sister and I as little girls, Matt and I on the night we got engaged, a picture of me and Kim outside of the Rock and Roll hall of fame and moo moo(My favorite baby pic of her). I also have some knick knacks, most of them are presents from Kim. She is a great present giver, I got the time turner from Harry Potter movie from her as well as a really cool copy of the book Anne of Green Gables. Its my all time favorite book as well as all time favorite Movie. That Kim knows me too well. Love ya KIM!!!

Well I guess I should say Matt and I's office. Now we are just getting the rest of the old office cleaned out and the elliptical will be finding a new home up there, until we adopt our future baby, then that will become there room! Can't wait I am counting down the days till we can start the process. Only 235 days to go!

New Changes in the house....
We are currently working on turning the room we call the "Moose Room" into our new office. My amazing husband has worked so hard in there these last few months. For those of you who have never heard of the "Moose Room" I will share a picture with you.
This is the one of the walls in the moose room. It is by far the worst part of it. The previous owner had glued carpet to the wall. Yes Carpet to the wall! So it has been a disaster getting all of the glue and carpet off the walls. Matt has been working so very hard on it and it looks amazing. Last weekend he even painted the walls. We are doing a really cute chair railing high bead board in there which I just started painting today!!! We are so very excited to organize and put our new office together. So with that said I will give you a little preview of how it looks so far. Prior warning its still in the early stages.
Matt and I are both super excited to get this project done. The old office will someday be our future babies room!!! Have a blessed day!
Thankful!
Tonite, or last nite for some but since I am still up at 1248am. I say tonite I had a wonderful evening with my bestest friend. I got to thinking today about how blessed I have been these last gosh I think its going to be 10yrs! Kim has been there for all of my ups and downs and she has never wavered. We have both changed so much in the last 10 years, but the one thing that remains constant is how much I love her! I can't thank God enough for placing her in my life.
To keep things simple I will tell ya how we met. It was really amazing and all. LOL! I met Kim at La Petite. We ended up working in the one year old room together. And let me tell you it was good times. It wasn't until I helped her come out of the closet with her love of all things U2 and Bono that our friendship blossomed. I can still remember the cup I made her and the blanket, both covered in U2 pictures! I bet she still has them. Kim and I have so many memories and I hope that each one of you has an amazing bestie that you can think of fondly all the time.
Mine loves me and my crazy geekiness. In fact when we were sharing a duplex together, she even put up with my ramblings on and on about Sci-fi. I believe that year was the year I found Stargate SG1 and it has been up hill since then.
So thanks God for sending me Kim, someone that no matter how geeky I get still loves me for me! God bless you all and Have a super day!

Big Decisions have been made.....
Sorry it's been so long since I have posted. Matt and I were talking and making some big decisions that we wanted to share with our family first. After praying and realizing that we were ignoring the path that God was trying to lead us on, we stopped fighting it. We have realized in these last few weeks that God has been trying to tell us that Adoption is what he desires for us. We knew that no matter what he wants us to be parents and that through adoption we will get to parent the child he desires for us.
We have been researching all the different places and we have bought some books to guide us. Matt and I have decided to Adopt domestically. We also would like to adopt a baby. We both really do not want to miss out on all the first with our child. We have discussed that perhaps when our baby is 4-5 we might adopt in the toddler age.
Most of the places I have researched that we feel our of good standing, require you to be married 3 years. So for the next 8 months Matt and I will be saving and paying stuff off so that we can be as prepared as possible for this journey. We realize that adoption can be a very long process, they say the average adoption takes 2 years. So we are prepared to wait and hope that by the time we are 35 we our thorough this process.
I am so happy to be able to share with you all what path God has led us on. We will remain faithful to him and we will not abandon hope nor the desire to follow his will. May God bless you all in the days to come!
